Funding Traders

Instant Funded — 15%. Your largest single profit day must stay at or below 15% of total profit to be payout-eligible. Formula: (Highest trading day profit / Total trading days PnL) x 100. Exceeding it is not a breach — you simply keep trading until the ratio comes back within the limit.

1-Step Pro (funded) — 50%. Largest single profit day must not exceed 50% of total profit.

2-Step Pro6 and 2-Step Pro10 — no consistency score requirement.

Instant Funded, additional payout gates: biggest single losing trade must not exceed the biggest single winning trade; at least 5 profitable days of 0.25% or more of balance within every 30-day period; minimum 1% profit above the initial balance; the first 3% profit is a non-withdrawable safety cushion.

Partial closes are counted on the day the position is fully closed.

Instant Funded: news trading is strictly prohibited. Opening, closing or holding a position inside the restricted window around a high-impact (red folder) event is a hard breach and terminates the account. Restricted window: 5 minutes before until 5 minutes after the release; for speeches, from 5 minutes before the start until 5 minutes after the end. A News Holding add-on (15%) allows holding through events, but the 5-minute open/close restriction still applies.

1-Step Pro, 2-Step Pro6, 2-Step Pro10 — challenge phase: news trading is fully permitted, no restrictions.

1-Step Pro, 2-Step Pro6, 2-Step Pro10 — funded phase: allowed, but no more than 30% of total profit may come from news-influenced trades, or payout processing is delayed until further trades bring it below the threshold. A trade counts as a news trade if it is opened, held or closed within 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release. Trades opened at least 5 hours before the release are not treated as news trades.

Affected instruments: all currency pairs tied to the event plus the related indices (for example US30 on US news, DAX on EUR news, JPN225 on JPY news).

At least one trade must be placed within every 30-day period on both challenge and funded accounts. The first 30-day window starts on the purchase date, not the last activity date. An account failed for inactivity is permanently closed and cannot be restored.

Allowed: copy trading software between your own FundingTraders Pro accounts, and copying from your own accounts at other brokers or firms into your FundingTraders Pro account. Manual copying between your own accounts is allowed.

Not allowed: copy trading software between FT Instant Funded accounts; copying trades to or from another trader's account, manually or via signals; sharing signals with other traders. Breach results in termination of all accounts.

Permitted only where they serve risk management — position size calculators and auto-position-size execution bots. Consult support before using any EA.

Not allowed: off-the-shelf EAs bought or downloaded online (unless purely risk-management), EAs that place trades unless personally developed by the trader, grid trading EAs, and hedge trading EAs.

AI-generated EAs are allowed only if the trader fully understands the code, participated in its creation and can explain its logic to the Risk Team. Copy-pasted AI code is treated as an off-the-shelf EA. The trader is fully accountable for EA behaviour.

Strictly prohibited. Defined as three or more open positions on the same pair in the same direction at the same time, whether adding into losses or into profits. Breach may lead to disqualification from funded accounts.

Volume-weighted average holding time (VWHT) must be at least 2 minutes: sum(holding time x volume) / sum(volume). Below that the account is terminated for unrealistic trading method.

HFT and trades of 15 seconds or less are not allowed on funded accounts. A single sub-15-second trade may be tolerated as an isolated event; repeated occurrences fail the account.

Instant Funded: no minimum trading days. Payout eligibility instead requires 5 profitable days of 0.25%+ within every 30-day period.

1-Step Pro: 2 trading days in the challenge, 2 trading days on the funded account.

2-Step Pro6 / Pro10: 4 trading days in Phase 1 and 4 in Phase 2 (8 in total), 2 trading days on the funded account. FundingTraders markets this as '4 minimum trading days' per phase.

Maximum days: unlimited — no time limit on any evaluation.

A trading day counts only if at least one trade is placed and shows genuine activity.

Pro accounts: overnight and weekend holding allowed.

Instant Funded: weekend holding allowed since 29 June 2026 across all instruments including crypto; the earlier requirement to flatten one hour before Friday close has been removed.

Swap rates apply on positions held overnight or over the weekend (waived with the Zero Fees add-on). Spreads widen around the Asian open and the Monday open; gap risk applies over weekends.

Instant Funded: maximum risk 1% of the initial balance — combined floating PnL across all open trades must not reach -1%. Maximum lot size 20 per trade; exceeding it fails the account immediately.

1-Step Pro: maximum 2% of the initial balance per trade idea, in both challenge and funded phases.

2-Step Pro6 / Pro10: maximum 2% of the initial balance per trade idea, funded phase only.

A trade idea = trades on the same symbol and direction open simultaneously, or closed and reopened on the same symbol and direction within 2 minutes. Different symbols or opposite directions count separately.

No lot size cap on Pro accounts, but position sizing must stay consistent; sudden size spikes, especially around news, are flagged for review.

Instant Funded: 3% daily loss measured from the higher of the day's starting balance or equity, including floating losses. 6% maximum loss trailing on the highest recorded balance until 3% profit is reached, after which it locks to the initial account size. Maximum drawdown does not reset on payout. The first 3% profit is a non-withdrawable safety cushion; including it in a payout request fails the account.

1-Step Pro: 3% daily loss from the day's starting equity; 10% maximum loss trailing on the highest recorded balance.

2-Step Pro6: 3% daily loss, 6% maximum loss, fixed (does not trail).

2-Step Pro10: 5% daily loss, 10% maximum loss, fixed (does not trail).

Profit targets are measured on balance, not equity, with all positions closed.

Not mandatory on any account type, but strongly recommended.

VPN, VPS and proxy use is allowed. Multiple IPs on one account, multiple accounts from the same or related IPs (including across other prop firms), and coordinated or mirrored trading between accounts under different ownership are flagged and may be treated as a breach with forfeiture of profits. One profile per user.
